We crushed the competition by including a steel bearing in the larger bushing, preventing the gear selector from binding while it moved.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe raise the bar again with our new Competition shifter cable bushings. This new generation of bushings offers many of the same benefits as the original and more. The most obvious change is to the material and bushing design. Over the last few years, we have been testing new lightweight materials that are just as durable but corrosion-resistant and easier to install.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eModern materials for modern cars!\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOur Competition bushings are injection molded black Delrin, extremely durable (high cyclic fatigue resistance) from both impacts and chemicals. Safe to operate in environments up to 250*F, these bushings are rated to withstand greater forces than the cables themselves. The center bushing is machined from 6061 aluminum and finished in a protective anodized finish.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAnother benefit to our new bushings is their corrosion resistance, meaning they will not rust. Our bushings will feel great for years when installed with the supplied high-temperature grease. Not only are these bushings stronger than the last version, but they’re also easier to install. No more spiral clips, and since the bushing self-locks into the housing, it requires no installation tools.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn the end, these bushings offer an extremely smooth operation over the factory rubber parts. We then treat the surface with a proprietary sandblasting media to get a perfect surface finish. Next, it is treated to a 3 step anodizing process. Finally, we laser etch the fitment size and logos with a YAG laser that evaporates the dye from the anodize resulting in a crisp white logo that is subtly placed on the knob so not to detract from the fantastic finish. All of this combined results in an incredible fit and finish that is a joy to look at while maintaining the strength necessary for spirited driving.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e130R DELRIN SHIFT KNOB\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe 130R knob is machined from a solid piece of Delrin which is not only extremely strong but heat resistant, so you won’t torch or freeze your hand as temperatures change. Directly threaded, this knob fits all Honda threaded shifters.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e“130R” is represented in a few meaningful ways. Named after the famous 130R corner at Suzuka Circuit in Japan (one of our favorite circuits in the world) the curvature is also radiused at 130* giving a physical meaning as well.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe 130R knob is wider, taller, and slightly larger overall compared to the MAXIM knob.
